DISCOVERING THE SLOVENIAN ALPS

In the Slovenian Alps, the world shines in a special light because the mountains are composed of white limestone. The peaks are steep, the valleys are deep, and the streams are full of clear water. The slopes are covered with thick forests and meadows with wild flowers. And most importantly, they are all perfect for mountain biking.
Itinerary:
Day 1: MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK
Our meeting point is the centre of our Mountain Bike Park - Bike Hotel at Tourist Farm Koroš, a unique base for activities which take place in the surrounding forests and mountains.
Day 2: JAMNICA TRAILS
The Jamnica ride takes you to the hills surrounding our base. It features single trails, fire roads and some dirt roads. Smooth single trails, abandoned tractor trails, awesome views and manageable climbs make it perfect for people who are just starting with mountain biking. However, also professionals will enjoy the offered playground. Lunch will be enjoyed at a tourist farm around midday, after which some nice climbing will take you to our single trail park for a perfect ending to the day.
30-40 km, Total ascent: 1,000-1,500m
Day 3: UNDREGROUND BIKING
A warm-up tour around the "Single Trail Arena". Today, we will ride "through a mountain" along an old mine, 6 kilometres in length.
(biking 46 km, total ascent 1,050 m)
Day 4: SAVINJA ALPS
Cycling between the isolated farms in the Savinja Alps is a first-class pleasure and many bikers agree that this panoramic mountain road offers the most beautiful views in the Slovenian mountains. With a transfer after a daily tour we will end a day at the world-famous Bled and its lake with an old church on the island in the middle.
(biking 45 km, total ascent 1,600 m)
Day 5: VRŠIČ PASS AND SOČA VALLEY
Shuttle assisted ride to Slovenian highest mountain pass Vršič will open us a way to a beatufull valley of emerald river Soča. Descent from the top to a famous outdoor town Bovec, will serve us with some breath taking views on Julian Alps. Half a day ride which will give us an opportunity to experience some other outdoor activities in the afternoon (rafting, kayaking, cannyoning,...), or just taking a rest and chilling out in the town in midst of mountains.
(biking 35 km, total ascent 200m)
Day 6: SOČA VALLEY
The Julian Alps are the highest in Slovenia, therefore the views from the roads leading over the central parts of the Triglav National Park are amazingly beautiful.
The most renowned of the Slovenian Alpine rivers is the Soča, and many people consider it the most beautiful river in Europe too. Its waters shimmer in a unique emerald colour. It is worldwide known for the bloody battles of the Isonzo Front that took place here during World War I.
(biking 35- 50 km, total ascent 1000- 1500 m )
Day 7: MEDITERRANEAN
On the last day of biking, we will ride on the edge of the Alps along a range with beautiful views of the Italian Friuli Venetia to the great vine region of Goriška Brda. The Slovenian word "brda" means "rolling hills" and this is the simplest description of Goriška Brda: a region of low rounded hills in the western part of Slovenia, with a Mediterranean climate.
